Poetry allows you to express how you feel or what you feel when you are writing it, and helps me to understand the elements of poetry. It sometimes sends out a message, even a life long message. Poetry is beneficial because it provides humour, helps you to expand your vocabulary and use the words correctly.

I like that poetry can be very versatile, sometimes you can take an inanimate object and give it feelings or an animal and compare it to a human.When you are writing poetry it comes from your own personal feelings and views so it can't be considered wrong by anyone else.I also like that it can sometimes tell a story , be very humorous and send a message to the reader.

The elements of poetry are what we useto analyse a poem. Without elements of poetry we would not be able to tell what a good poem is. The elements of poetry helps us to understand the poem

One thing I like about poetry is that it is used to express feeling, the tone that a poem is written in varies according to the message the writer is trying send to the reader.Another thing I like is how poems can be either humorous or dramatic, one of the same kind of poem will eventually get monotonous.The third thing I like about poetry is that it uses a wide variety of vocabulary which are compulsory to know the meaning of them to understand the poem, when you know their meanings you now can write your own poems much better than before

The things that i like about poetry is that you are able to express your feelings in a different way. Writing a poem allows you to put together your thoughts and feelings into one. Each person has his or her own experiences, thoughts, and analyzing system with poetry so each person reads and views poetry as having a different 'meaning'.

I also like that there are so many types of poems and my favorite is the Limerick because it is funny, rhymes and short. What I have learnt about poetry is, there are many types of poetry. The things I find appealing about poetry are the rhythm and rhyme, how a poet can express many feelings through it (tone) and how it covers many issues like friendship, love, death etc. (subject) Some poems use allot of literary devices to capture its readers interest.

I like poetry because it is my way of expressing my feelings on topics. Unlike story writing there are certain rules that we don't have to follow in poetry which makes it feel more natural. In poetry we can write a short poem that has a lot of meaning.

I like doing poetry because it helps me learn new words and helps me to express myself in rhyming stanzas. There are a lot of different elements of poetry which is very intriguing to me and makes me love it even more. Poetry helped me to figure out most overused words and their replacements which helps me and makes my paragraphs or stanzas or essays stronger than it ever was and help me to do greater in my work, and that is what i like about poetry

I have learnt that six of the elements with the exception of rhyming in the technical construction are also contained in narratives. Rhyming captures the readers attention and brings the poem to life as he/she anticipates the rhyming words in each line of the poem.The elements of poetry assist the poet in relating a story dramatically by appealing to all the senses of the reader in a shorter form than a narrative.

They also help in improving vocabulary and learn new ways of expressing yourself. Poetry is structured in many different forms and we should educate ourselves on all of them.
